8:30-11:00am  Taking Intraoral Radiographs and Equipment Maintenance Wet Lab for Technicians

Dr. Jennifer Mathis
Room Bishop A
Pre-requisite Webinar: Participants MUST watch a 1 hour “Taking Intraoral Radiographs” webinar prior to the wet lab. An additional 4 hours of on demand CE is provided as a resource on periodontal disease and instrument care, though it is not required to be watched prior to the wet lab. Both links will be provided to participants after registration. These on demand videos are available to re-watch for future reference.
An all-technician dentistry wet lab: practice taking intraoral radiographs on dogs and cats, hand scale teeth above and below the gum line, learn to sharpen instruments and maintain your dentistry equipment in good working order. Bonus: Bring a sample of frozen serum to quantitatively test for heart problems on a dog or cat.

Noon-3:00pm  Dentistry Oral Surgery Wet Lab for Veterinarians

Room Bishop A

Pre-Lab Webinar Preparation: Four additional hours of CE are provided for watching the required pre lab webinar to prepare for the lab. A link will be provided to participants after registration.
Every pet needs preventative dental care every year. Three of every 4 patients you see need treatment beyond cleaning the teeth. Many times, problems are resolved through extraction of teeth. Practice extraction techniques in dogs and cats to become faster while learning flap creation, tissue handling, and how to avoid or deal with complications. Each participant will use the appropriate equipment to facilitate oral surgical extractions. Attending this lab will lower your stress, decrease anesthesia time, and minimize patient pain. It's easy for most clinics to get 100% of their return on lab CE investment in the first few procedures. A 6-piece dentistry kit to take home is included in your sign up, a $160 value!
