In this session, we will discuss a series of less common and often clinically nebulous endocrinopathies that occur in the dog and the cat.

1:30 - 3:00 p.m. Companion Animal Medicine: Where to Begin? - Dr. Bianca Zaffarano
This session will cover equipment, personnel and facility preparation, as well as basic competencies expected by clients. We will discuss the educational resources available to the private practitioner interested in seeing exotic companion species (avian, small mammal, reptile).

3:30 – 5:00 p.m. Exotic Companion Animals: Stabilization & Triage of Unfamiliar Species - Dr. Bianca Zaffarano
This session will discuss common urgent conditions of Exotic Companion animals, the principles of stabilization and developing a prognosis. We will also cover some red flags to keep you and your patient out of trouble while they are being stabilized.
