Invitation from the Executive Director

Dear Colleague:

The challenges facing the veterinary profession in Iowa seem to grow every year. It is therefore more important than ever that Iowa veterinarians stand together in their approach and advocacy. The IVMA provides the vehicle to do that. Our members are the lifeblood of the Association. Support from the veterinary community allows us to be heard as one unified and clear voice when advocating for the veterinary profession.

As a former practicing veterinarian, I know how busy a veterinarian’s life is and the demands you have on your time.  I understand the importance of organized veterinary medicine and the collaboration between its members, industry partners, governmental agencies and the Legislature. The IVMA is your voice and a valuable source of information to make your job easier, more profitable and more successful.

The benefits of IVMA membership are considerable. I encourage all members to renew their membership and consider participating in IVMA activities. For those currently not members, I urge you to review the benefits and services and consider becoming an IVMA member.

Sincerely,

Dr. Randy Wheeler
IVMA Executive Director
