A Communication Skills Workshop for the Veterinary Team
Pet owners must TRUST the team members of the veterinary practice in order for them to entrust the care of their beloved pets to that team. In fact, there is now a large body of research evidence that demonstrates a strong correlation between good communication and practice success. Gaps in communication skills have considerable implications for the veterinary practice associated with diagnostic accuracy, quality of patient care, client satisfaction, adherence, and liability risk.

The IVMA and Elanco Animal Health are offering this workshop with Katherine Dobbs, RVT, CVPM, PHR, a nationally known speaker and consultant.  This workshop is designed to improve communication skills within your veterinary practice. You will learn methods to diffuse uncomfortable and potentially dangerous situations, how to help a grief stricken client, and better communication skills to improve interactions.  Click HERE for more information and to register for this event.    The workshop has been approved for 5.5 Management CEUs.

The Great Market Shift:  What do Changes in the Flea & Tick Market Mean for Your Hospital's Bottom Line?  The Communication Skills Workshop will be followed by a reception and dinner program featuring Gary Glassman, CPA.  The increased distribution of over-the-counter pet care products is changing the veterinary market.    The dinner and evening program are sponsored by Elanco Animal Health and there is no charge to attend.  The dinner program is RACE approved for one Management CEU.

U. S. Dairy Farmers Care
Merck Animal Health is pleased to announce the availability of a new advocacy video called “U.S. Dairy Farmers Care.” It showcases U.S. dairy farmers and their commitment to animal care, the environment, local communities and consumers.

Click HERE for the three-minute video that includes more than 20 facts about the dairy industry, such as information about animal care, the carbon footprint of dairying, the financial impact of dairies on their local economies and the industry’s role in feeding the world.  Watch this video to learn how U.S. dairy farmers care for their cows. Treating their cows like family, farmers ensure Americans receive delicious, safe, and nutritious dairy products. Thanks to advancements in genetics, nutrition and animal care, U.S. dairy farmers are able to produce 65% more milk with 1/3 of the cows, all while reducing dairy's carbon footprint. Support U.S. dairy farmers. For more information email Info@DairyFarmersCare.com.
